Our 1st miracle of the year. Followed closely by our 1st chuck-up.

First, for the miracle, because everyone loves a bit of good news to start off the year.

Mr Thumper's still with us! He's alive! [though mostly sleeping]. He's eating! [sometimes with a spoon and by hand]. He's walking! [even galloping when he sees a cat]. He's still giving my stay-at-home human a hard time! [no change here].

Mr Thumper on his 1st walk of the year, yesterday.
[My stay-at-home human is a bit embarrassed by the crappy pictures here because she just spent the night looking at some lovely pictures in other blogs. Oh well. Sorry?]

Who would have thought Mr Thumper had it in him? *YAy. I guess.

More Good News! Sort of.

I didn't get oatmeal with angophora honey for brekkie after all. I got fresh lamb, poached chicken, panfried steak, rice, carrots, celery, chickpeas and lentils. It was lovely!

30 minutes later, it all came out on the floor.

It didn't look so lovely anymore.

Dr Dog says it was the antibiotics. My stay-at-home human thinks it's the teaspoon of pink champagne I had to celebrate the first day of the year. I don't believe her though. She'll say anything to make my poor out-at-work human feel bad.

Look at what my out-at-work human picked up from Dr Dog!

It's a proper E collar! Dr Dog gave him some nice long bandage too, so they could tie it up with a pretty bow. Dr Dog knows I'm working hard to be A Lady.

It's very big. I've knocked a few things down already. My stay-at-home human is convinced SHE has the more practical design. She may be right.

I tried telling my out-at-work human that.
"You know? I hate to say this but I think she's right."

So there you are.

We're having a miraculous start to the new year. We hope YOU are too!

First walk of the year but no champagne, though I was tempted. Some sausage after his medecine was accepted.

Yay for Thumper! That is very good news, I say. I am so glad he's around and walking.

However, it is not good you have been sick. Would that tiny bit of champagne really cause an upset? Perhaps. I hope you feel better soon so you can enjoy more lamb.

Happy New Year! That collar makes you look quite charming.
