I ate a doughnut today.

While my humans were out today, I got a bit peckish so I decided to eat my doughnut. It was not very tasty for something that cost 40 dollars.

Then my humans came home.
Flashback! Me and DoughNut in happier other times.
Circa late June 2012, a few days after DoughNut came to live with us.

I tried to explain why I'd eaten my doughnut.
"It's not really my fault. Miss Anny said doughnuts were for eating and I was hungry."
"So what are you saying? She was lying?"

I can't remember the last time I got such a big scold. It might have been 2 years ago, before I became A Lady.

Another flashback!

"Do you think you're going to be done scolding me any time soon?"

"Please pat me. You know you want to."

It's a good thing my humans can't stay angry with me for long.

Oh Georgia, not even I can figure out why you would do that. I gave up chewing things years ago!! Your friend Tara xoxoxo

You're welcome, Bunny! Just make sure you don't believe anything that Miss Anny says!

Thanks Tara! Now my humans are probably going to remind me how good you are for the rest of my life. Bah!

Looking on the bright side, it doesn't like the type of donut that would cause one to fart, I mean pass gas.

That picture of GLP looking away while you are presenting her with the broken donut is GREAT!

Some donuts are not for eating.

Whoops! Why don't they give them suitable names? Call a doughnut a doughnut. I love the pictures where she won't even look at it! Today I discovered some of Fab's fresh handiwork on the reticulation. Do you think Georgia and Flo are in email contact?

georgia little pea said...

It was hysterical how she kept looking away. We had a tough time trying not to laugh while scolding her :)

Yes, I think Flo and Georgia are in contact. Didn't I just tell you how good she'd become? I really hope it's not the start of a new and expensive phase!

Aw, maybe they'll feed you before they go next time!

Oh Georgia, you came a cropper there, didn't you.
Best be careful what you chew on next time. Still, in the end they WERE very nice to you, weren't they?

Well you can't blame a girl for trying. That is one reason we stuck with the regular hard cone for Kelly. It wasn't great, but it didn't pop! Give Georgia a hug for me!

Georgia, your "i'm sad and I'm sorry" look is perfect. i could not stay angry very long

Oh. Georgia. [*tries not to laugh*]. That was a very expensive doughnut to eat.
I just learned yesterday, from the news on TV, that Canadians eat more doughnuts per person per year than any other nation in the world. Another reason for you to come visit me. Lots of doughnuts. The edible kind.

Your post did give me an idea. Maybe the next time Georgia needs a doughnut, put a honey glazed one around her neck. She'll be so busy getting all the yumminess she'll forget to scratch at her boo boos. :)

Humans need to learn that they are at fault if they leave anything in reach that dogs are not supposed to eat.

Which pretty much makes dogs blameless for anything that gets eaten.

Oh that face! I can see why you were tempted; eating that thing was probably way better than wearing it.

Kristine said...

I am sorry it wasn't very tasty, unlike the dougnut I had this afternoon for lunch. If you ever come to Canada to visit, I will make sure you get a taste of the good kind.

Donuts ARE for munching... esp the ones that costs 40 bucks! hahahahhahaa... good work with the donut thingy.. now maybe before they go out.. they will remember to keep them donuts safely somewhere.. and give you some noms to munch just in case you get peckish :)
now she'll have to get the boobooloon thingy for you.. *LOL*

we are sorry we have been away... each time i start to sit down to write... i got carried away... *LOL* Miss you guys a lot.

Didya know... if i don't blog/post... my ratings go up... i am just testing how far i can go... (its also just a bl**dy excuse)

Your hoomans are weak... they cannot be angry with you when you show them the sad puppy eyes.. it works all the time. My cow is weaker... she never scold me at all... but i am good old boy.. really.

woofs n licks,
Dommy

I forgots to ask you... are you still farting?

Miss Anny, IT WAS ALL YOUR FAULT I GOT A SCOLD! that's all I have to say.

The Typist says the same thing happened to her while she was away gallivanting. Maybe it's a sign that no one wants to read our stories and would rather we keep quiet! BWAH haha!

Amy said...

Oh Georgia, you have that sad look nailed! How could anyone stay mad at you?!?

Julie said...

That couldn't possibly have been your fault! Donuts are definitely for eating!!

wow that was a big telling off.. but everyone had fun even though I have no idea what the do nut WAS for.

Sleeping?
You know the dog rules- if you cant eat it, chase it, piss on it.

Grrl - it's a comfy version of the dreaded Elizabethan collar. We got it a month back to stop Georgia chewing her paws. She HATED the normal E collar and some bloggers suggested the DN. Well, guess what Ms Pea will be wearing the next time she needs one.

A 40 dollar blue doughnut should be much more tasty than that one looks! :) Now that you ate your doughnut, you can chew your paws again, too! Oh yikes.

OMG I thought you just ate a real doughnut and couldn't see what the big hoopla was about. In your defense you did look seriously contrite. :-)

It's the human's fault, GLP. They're too slow on the uptake. A bit like me, it took Frankie about 9 months to train me not to leave anything slightly technological within paw or mouth reach. I think it was 3 mobiles, 3 remotes, a few phone chargers before I had a lightbulb moment:) They should be grateful you're only into rubber!

chandra said...

Ohhhh, the guilt! But my favorite, my absolute favorite, is the look away! Oh, GLP, you ought to be in pictures ... mmm hmm, earning enough money to replace that doughnut!

Dear Ms C,

Do you really think I could be in pictures? My humans do too but they're too lazy to do anything about it. I'm never going to get famous living here and my life will just be a big Might Have Been. Sigh. What a waste.
