cuteness always sells... better.
but that doesn't mean that the other not cute fellas should be sidelined.
BWha ha ha ha ha! Great captions!
Ha! Great captions and pictures to go with the post!
I think if an animal has posed a serious threat to humans by killing more than one person in a short span of time, then it is better to act in the interest of public benefit, but aside from that, I'm a live and let live kind of girl.
Hey Bunny's mama - I agree. There will be situations where the rogue animal should be "contained". I just hate knee jerk reactions and one solution for all. I also wonder how the hunters identify the culprit in a forest or ocean of like animals. By the blood on their jaws?
I have heard of cases of "man eating" tigers that are not one time offenders. In that case, the beast should probably be dispatched.
There's a reason that the World Wildlife Fund uses the panda bear as it's logo. Using a scaly reptile just wouldn't get the same kind of donations.
Yeah! Mum has always wanted a pet Croc... says something about dealing with the neighbourhood kids! Deccy x
Love those captions. Maybe you should be their Publicity Director!
I can't comment on the shark post because I'm struggling to articulate my words. I think as humans we tend to be afraid of the animals that haven't been domesticated and cannot be controlled. Such as sharks, bears, etc. That having been said, I feel like we have forced them through our 'progress' by encroaching on their habitats. With an out of control world population I don't see much hope for change though. :-(
Brilliant. And absolutely spot on.
Peggy - maybe I should. I AM very fond of snakes, iguanas and froggies :)
JodiS - I'm pessimistic about the situation myself. We're still encouraging people to have babies here in Australia. How odd is that? When it comes to animal welfare, I think there are lots of good people and too many apathetic ones. I must, in all honesty, count myself in the latter group.
i think all those pics are cute, even snakes are cute to me with their little beady eyes and forked tongues. but i'm just an animal lover and love even the ones people think are scary.
witty! we have grizzlies and wolves ~ quite the conversation and argument makers ~ sharks...not so much here!
i enjoyed your pictorial:)
