Woeful Wednesday.

Sad.
I chucked up again this morning. It was my 2nd time in 4 days. It's okay, I'm not sick. It was just the antibiotics. Lucky I don't have to take them anymore.

I could see all the lovely pieces of meat in the puddle. I tried eating them up because I don't like to waste food. My stay-at-home human started screaming so I had to stop. It was sad.

After that, I had to eat oatmeal with bloodwood honey all day because she ran out of angophora. Yum.

I'm being sarcastic.

Sadder still.
My humans sometimes see dogs living on the streets in the city.

These 2 dogs were very good and calm. They didn't run away, even when their human went walkabout. There was a little bowl near the dogs, so humans who felt sad for them could give them money.
I don't know if the money really goes to buying the dogs liver and biscuits and things to make them happy.

My humans don't think it's right for the dogs to be begging like that. But the dogs don't seem hungry, sick or hurt. Just Very Very Sad.

I'm glad I don't live on the street anymore.

One summer evening.

I'm not allowed to play with my friends this week in case the stitches haven't finished doing their work yet. I hope they're working hard because it's getting boring just walking round and round on a leash.
I met this lamp post. It's summer, but it must still be feeling cold because it's wearing a sweater. Just like this tree we met last winter.

Hmmm. I wonder if grrl + her dog put them on?

My typist has i.n.d.u.s.t.r.i.o.u.s.l.y dug out some pictures from not too long ago last December, when she wasn't so industrious was downright lazy and didn't share any pictures of my friends.

These are some friends you haven't met before. That's because they play in the park for Good And Gentle Or Fragile Teacup or Old And Fragile Dogs.

I wasn't allowed there last year because I wasn't Good, Gentle or Old yet [and will never be Fragile or A Teacup]. But I'm Almost A Lady now, so I'm allowed again.

This is Walter. He has a sweet face.
But Walter is full of evil intentions.
This is Josie.

She's only a puppy but has already done time in Death Row.

She learnt some neat stuff from her time in prison.
God help us all when Josie grows up.

If she's not careful, she may be exiled from the park for Good And Gentle or Fragile Teacup or Old And Fragile Dogs, just like I was.

This is Spike from Israel.
And this is Pipi Longstocking from somewhere much closer by like maybe a few roads away.
This is a dog that just popped by. We didn't know him, but we do now. His name is Diesel.
So these are my newish Good And Gentle, not yet Old, not Fragile or Teacup Friends.

One summer evening, we had Some Most Excellent Games in the park.

This is a mini-human who, unlike my stay-at-home human, still has 2 good knees [and apparently no fear of being very close to big bouncy dogs so that may change soon].
Here are 2 pictures of a crowd, a lamp post and a 3rd wheel.
I like my newish Good And Gentle Friends a lot and really look forward to playing gently with them again soon.
It'd be good if Walter tried to learn some new games though.

Our 1st miracle of the year. Followed closely by our 1st chuck-up.

First, for the miracle, because everyone loves a bit of good news to start off the year.

Mr Thumper's still with us! He's alive! [though mostly sleeping]. He's eating! [sometimes with a spoon and by hand]. He's walking! [even galloping when he sees a cat]. He's still giving my stay-at-home human a hard time! [no change here].

Mr Thumper on his 1st walk of the year, yesterday.
[My stay-at-home human is a bit embarrassed by the crappy pictures here because she just spent the night looking at some lovely pictures in other blogs. Oh well. Sorry?]

Who would have thought Mr Thumper had it in him? *YAy. I guess.

More Good News! Sort of.

I didn't get oatmeal with angophora honey for brekkie after all. I got fresh lamb, poached chicken, panfried steak, rice, carrots, celery, chickpeas and lentils. It was lovely!

30 minutes later, it all came out on the floor.

It didn't look so lovely anymore.

Dr Dog says it was the antibiotics. My stay-at-home human thinks it's the teaspoon of pink champagne I had to celebrate the first day of the year. I don't believe her though. She'll say anything to make my poor out-at-work human feel bad.

Look at what my out-at-work human picked up from Dr Dog!

It's a proper E collar! Dr Dog gave him some nice long bandage too, so they could tie it up with a pretty bow. Dr Dog knows I'm working hard to be A Lady.

It's very big. I've knocked a few things down already. My stay-at-home human is convinced SHE has the more practical design. She may be right.

I tried telling my out-at-work human that.
"You know? I hate to say this but I think she's right."

So there you are.

We're having a miraculous start to the new year. We hope YOU are too!
