Cushion's good explanation.

So I got lost on Saturday while out walking in Callan Park with My Cushion.
When we got back, he couldn't wait to tell The Typist blame me for what happened.
"It was near the community garden. She ran ahead down the slope and went out of sight. I thought if I kept walking, I'd catch up with her. When I got there, she was gone."
"I called but she must have panicked and run off to look for me. I walked around for at least 10 minutes screaming for her. Then I found her with Margaret and Angie! They saw her running around, called her and luckily, she went to them."

"I did not lose you, Georgia! You went off to look for food, you naughty greedy girl!"

"Well, that's a good story, Cushion. But just to set the record straight, here's what really happened."

*

"You abandoned me!"
"That's right. You didn't watch out for me like you're supposed to!"
"I was scared! Do you want me to end up at the pound again?"

 "Just admit it!"
"You were slack and it was YOUR fault I got lost!"

"Okay. That's all I have to say."

  1. Oooooooooooooooh! What a scary thing! I'm sure the Cushion didn't mean to abandon you Georgia! How lucky it was that your friends were there to run to! I'm so glad you're back home and safe!

  2. Georgia, of course I believe you. We know humans are the ones responsible for keeping dogs safe. But to be fair, your Cushion didn't mean to abandon you. He's just human and, let's face it, humans just aren't as smart as dogs. I'm sure he's very sorry and will keep a closer eye on you now. And I think you deserve some extra yummy treats after that harrowing ordeal.

  3. Yes, thank goodness for friends! I "lost" Jersey at a craft fair once. Apparently the smells coming from the food trucks was just way to irresistible and she couldn't find her way back to me. Luckily, a person that worked at the craft fair knew that she belonged to me & brought her back. Jersey was *very* happy to see me & never did that again.

  4. Georgia, what a harrowing ordeal! I think you need a lot of treats after all that stress and worry. Your story sounds so much more believable than The Cushion's!

  5. I think everyone learned an important lesson. You, Miss Georgia, must remember that The Cushion can't keep up with an athletic, youthful pig-dog. You must slow down and give him a chance to be responsible. Also, you must think of your readership. We would be devastated if anything happened to you. Of course, we believe your story, Georgia. The Cushion had to come up with something. He did have The Typist waiting for him.

  6. Yeah you're right, MS LORI. Cushion is an old man and I should be kind. He's lucky The Typist didn't kill him.

  7. Urmm... you sure am a very big girl to lose... and i believe your story more Georgia.. i think your Cushion should be grounded for losing you and and made you worried and lost and afraid.

  8. Oh dear you must have felt terrible Georgia, but then I think the cushion probably felt just as bad, maybe even worse. Main thing, you're all together again now xx

  9. Miss Georgia, you know your Cushion did not mean to abandon you, he is just, well I don't know what he is, but I'm sure he adores you. Just don't forget to always look back to make sure he is behind you.
Typist, would you give Georgia another treat, please.

  10. Your story is quite clearly the accurate one Georgia. In defense of Your Cushion he did need something to prevent him from being battered half to death by The Typist. Deccy x

  11. Ms PEA! Is this your first 'tiff' with your beloved Cushion?! Oh me oh my!
Be gentle little Pea, like you said he is an old man and after all you must remember he was trying to save his skin from a fate worse than death - THE TYPIST!!
(WHISPER) Of course I believe YOU Ms Pea.

  13. Oh puuuuuulease, like I is really gonna believes da Cushion? Hoomans tend go off in La La Land sometimes anyways. It was so his fault.
Has you considered gettin' him a leash when he is out in public? I think a nice blue one would look good.

PS: Thank dog dis incident didn't end up bad.

  14. Ms. Georgia.

At least your humans don't go all hysterical when you wander off; at least they just scold. My mom screamed like a crazy-cougar woman last time I wandered off.

  15. What a frightening experience for a helpless little dog. We are sure that your cushion learned responsibility.Sometimes humans have to learn stuff the hard way.

  16. I love how cheerful Georgia looks in her photos. Clearly despite a potentially harrowing situation and her Cushion's distress, she was none the worse for wear post-abandonment. I am so glad she was found so quickly!

  17. Dear PUDDLES, what a great idea! I'd like to see them on more kiddy humans too. There are too many of them running around off-leash.

TOOTSIE, Cushion screamed like a crazy! (Or so he says.) He lost his voice. He's not as cool as he'd like to think.

  19. I tried commenting yesterday, but for some reason I can no longer write comments from my cell phone if the blogger has Blogger. Go figure.

I am very, very glad you are safe Miss Little Pea! I know the terror that The Cushion must have felt when he lost you. I hope that he is feeling better now. Such a scary feeling.

I wonder Miss Little Pea - did mom have a hand in writing your version of the story? ;)

  20. Naughty, Greedy?? Never in a million years. We don't believe Cushion's story for one minute Georgia. We think your Cushion just needs a little more training but don't forget to give him some treats along the way ok? We're glad you found each other mates. No worries, and love, Stella and Rory

  21. Georgia - perhaps you should get a leash for your Cushion so he can't get away from you again. He would be the talk of the dog park....hehehe. We are glad you got found.

  23. I'm so glad someone found you! This must've been really scary. I was wondering what happened after reading the last post, well the other side of the story anyway. :)

  24. That was a scary story. Used to go to an off leash park when I was young. Then one day I ran into the woods and momma could not keep up and then I was lost! When Momma found me she was crying. Well, I've never been to an off leash park again.

    Kisses,
    Dexter

  25. Oh Georgia, of course I beleive you. I just know from personal experience, that "the Human" is easily distracted and often don't keep an eye on us as closely as they should.
You might have a little more training to do.

  26. Oh, my dogness, Georgia. Abandonment by The Cushion was undoubtedly not his plan. How scary it must have been and then to get scolded. What were they thinking?

    ReplyDelete
  27. Ah! Dear Georgia, I am so very glad you find your way to home!
    Love always your adorable face!
    May I kiss you?

  28. Well I'm sure everyone is just very relieved that you're home Georgia! Cushion sounds like a good man, even if he can't always keep up with you.

  29. Tee hee. Poor Cushion, I bet he was worried about you. And maybe just a little bit frightened about what the Typist might say or do. :)

  30. I'm so glad you're home safe and sound, Georgia! Please don't be too hard on the The Cushion - I'm sure he was terrified and never meant to abandon you. Let's just be grateful for friends.

  31. Wow, GLP, you make a very good argument. Does anyone every tell you that ought to be in pictures? You could get a doggie Oscar for this performance!
