Sounds perfectly normal to me - this is how it is EVERY day at our house. Doggies run past the Mom and straight to the Dad with their tails and butts wagging and happy barks. After 15 minutes they suddenly notice Mom and look at me and say - 'well are you going to feed me?" Where is my happy greeting and tail wags I ask????
Dearest GLP, I love your pictorial! You know for someone without opposable thumbs you sure do draw well! LOL Glad your typist is home, even if you aren't!
Awwwww....I don't know whether to laugh or cry! Typist, I'm sorry Georgia didn't give you the welcome you deserved. Georgia, I love, love, love your pictures. I think you could become a syndicated cartoonist.
Oh, your heartbreak is our gain. The illos and text are brilliant, but tell Georgia that's no way to treat her biographer. However, by making Georgia look like a wiener dog, you did get revenge of a sort.
EARLY CONCLUSIONS!!! 1. Dads are more interesting than mums. 2. Jehovah's witnesses are exciting. 3. The more a dog loves you, the more she ignores you. (I'm happy to go with this one.)
Bwahahahahaha, you should be doing a comic strip too! (But life can feel like a comic strip a lot of the time.) Oh, I totally go along with the "the more they love you the more they ignore you" x
I think, in #7, Georgia is really exclaiming to Cushion that Mum is home and has brought treasures! TREASURES! #8 would be Georgia politely asking if she could help you carry the treasure. It's all in the interpretation.
My, what a beautifully illustrated and exciting story. I admit that the Mango reference threw me at first until I realized you meant the Mango foodables.
Life is full of decisions. Always go for the food.
Dear ANNY, I'm sure he was secretly gloating. I got to share my bed with Georgia one night, then I kicked her out. I'm the boss around here after all. I think.
Poor Typist! Love the illustrations though. :) That's how the Mr. is treated around here. The Lady goes outside for 2 minutes to get the mail and it's a tail wagging dog party when she comes back in. The Mr. comes home with food and they could care less.
So funny! That's how it is at my house every evening when hubby gets home. I don't exist in Thumper's world after he comes home. Well, not until he wants to sleep in the big bed, anyway.
You are much on my mind 'T', is everything OK in your world. I'm feeling concern for your dear bro. Just know that you are all in my thoughts. Big hugs xx
Dear ROSE, JEAN and ANNY- Sorry! Yes we're fine. My brother is out of ICU finally but still in hospital. Just not up to blogging these days. Will be back soon! Thank you for checking in on us. Have a great weekend! :) x
Oh, we love the Typist because she puts TOOTSIE in her cartoons! Georgia, give her a big old lick. Come on! No more heart stuff. The Typist's brother just came through things... I hope this means he is healing.
Hi, there, Georgia and Typist. Just dropping by to say hi. I'm not up to blogging either these days just wanted to drop by and see how you are doing. i'm off to go pick up my boys from boarding - we've been out of town and I miss my pups! Have a good day.
Georgia!! Don't punish the Typist for being away! Silly!

ReplyDeleteI am both laughing and crying. I too am the "uninteresting" person in our house.
ReplyDeleteDearest GLP, I love your pictorial! You know for someone without opposable thumbs you sure do draw well! LOL Glad your typist is home, even if you aren't!
ReplyDeleteHi we just found you. LOL funny. Poor typists but you can't tear yourself in bits. Great reenactment. Have a terrific Thursday.
ReplyDeleteBest wishes Molly

ReplyDelete"Dog memory" can be a mysterious thing.
ReplyDeleteGreat artwork! You might need a new name, perhaps artist instead of typist?
ReplyDeleteWe have similar scenarios playing out every day in our home. But it's even worse.
When I come home, Honey will eventually come downstairs to say hello. She's very calm. Same with my husband.
But the mail carrier? Plumber? Jehovah's Witnesses? They get the full Golden Retriever charm attack--floofie tail and happy grin.
Every day my self esteem is shattered.
Do you think Georgia and Honey have any idea of the psychological damage they're causing us?
Her love is proportional to her ignoring you. That's it.
ReplyDeleteBoo hoo, that's really rotten!
ReplyDeleteEARLY CONCLUSIONS!!!
ReplyDelete1. Dads are more interesting than mums.

Oh! Georgia!
ReplyDeleteLove your cartoons, dear typists!
Yes, a agree with your friend, "Dog memory" can be a mysterious thing!
I think, in #7, Georgia is really exclaiming to Cushion that Mum is home and has brought treasures! TREASURES!
ReplyDelete#8 would be Georgia politely asking if she could help you carry the treasure.
It's all in the interpretation.
I like your interpretation, JUNE! It's deluded but I like it!

btw... did you get your bed back?
ReplyDeleteDear ANNY, I'm sure he was secretly gloating. I got to share my bed with Georgia one night, then I kicked her out. I'm the boss around here after all. I think.
ReplyDeleteSniff, sniff. What a SAD story! I think the Typists needs to eat ALL the figs, guavas, and mangoes to make herself feel better!
ReplyDelete-c at ddy.
Jersey did the same thing to Sean & I when we left her alone to go on holidays for a month. She "pretended" not to know who we were for a few hours.
ReplyDeletehaha! amazing! xxx
ReplyDeleteMy first time stopping by! Funny :)
ReplyDeletePoor Typist! Love the illustrations though. :)

Uh, oh. Georgia. I'm thinkin' that was a bit of a goof.
ReplyDeleteOh no, I hope Georgia has you all remembered again.
ReplyDeletewow! did you draw that with your very own paw?? or was it the typist? either way we love the drawings.
ReplyDeleteyuki and rocket

Absolutely hysterical! Someone is a very talented cartoonist. GLP hope you gave the Typist lots of good cuddles after!

ReplyDeleteLove
Bert
Oh my, Georgia - you're going to have some making up to do! Fantastic cartoons, btw.
ReplyDeleteThis was hilarious! Fortunately my dogs usually prefer me...I am the "one who feeds" afterall....
ReplyDeleteAwwww. I bet GLP has made it up to you by now and snuggled and whispered in your ear how much she loves you!
ReplyDeleteSo funny! That's how it is at my house every evening when hubby gets home. I don't exist in Thumper's world after he comes home. Well, not until he wants to sleep in the big bed, anyway.
ReplyDeleteThere’s gratitude for you!

I am CHOPPED LIVER when the Daddy comes home. ACtually, chopped liver would probably be better received. It's awful. HUMPF! Welcome home all the same!
ReplyDeleteGreat picture show!!! The typist is always the least appreciated!

Oh, we love the Typist because she puts TOOTSIE in her cartoons! Georgia, give her a big old lick. Come on! No more heart stuff. The Typist's brother just came through things... I hope this means he is healing.
