  3. OUUUCHHH! That's a bad shiner. :( Are those stitches? And that bruise! You didn't feel that? Did the other person sustain any injury?

Well, I hope that your headache is at least gone. And I'm glad your eye wasn't involved. (bet you are too) Heal quickly!

    Thanks for the update, GLP.

  5. Oh, that looks very painful for your typist! I am very sorry that she got hurt. I hope she's feeling better soon so she can do more typing for you, because, well, I love to read your posts. Sometime you'll have to tell us more about your work day!

  8. GLP, I think you did a very good job typing (Sadie tells me it is not at all easy with paws!), and it was nice of you to give your typist the day off. She certainly looks like she needs it!
I hope you are enjoying your new job, at work with your Cushion. What an important girl you are now - a job, a blogger, and, of course, a Very Good Girl.

  10. Hey GLP, your typing looks like mine before I edit it all!

So sorry for your poor typist but at least she's got evidence of the accident! I hate having something that hurts but nothing to show for it! And as long as she keeps her eye open the scar won't show later;)

You're being such a good girl still. Will your goodness ever end?

I hope your typist is back to normal soon and that you're enjoying being at work with The Cushion.

  11. Thank you fur your advice Ns Sue. The doctor didn't tell My typist that. She'll be syre.to keep her eye open that was how she got into trouble to begin with - not watching a foot coming Zt her head. Haha. I sm typing this on my Typists iPhone it's graT it hecks my spelling !

  12. I'll bet THAT bled like a son of a gun!
...and scared everybody around her at that class! What in the world do those people wear on their feet in exercise class . . . combat boots? Golf cleats?

Thank goodness Georgia, that you are there to take care of your typist. I'm sure you're providing all the TLC she needs, if, perhaps, not the exact snacks she might desire...

  13. Oh my!! Your poor typist! I hope she gets to feeling better!

  14. Your poor Typist! Ouch! That's a horrible place to be kicked. And in exercise class. Geez.

  15. :D :D :D Georgia, I've just realised how much I've missed your blog and your funny-ness :) I think your typing has improved whilst I was away.

P.S. The smiles are for Georgia's humourous writing style, not for the poor typist being hurt. I hope she gets better soon! Look after her, Georgia! x

  16. I'm so sorry your pal got hurt. Just goes to show exercise is dangerous, we must not exercise, we should definitely just relax with a good book instead. No, just kidding, but seriously I hope she heals up fast. Thanks for typing today!

    ReplyDelete
  17. This is why I don't exercise. Seriously, I hope The Typist feels better soon. Georgia...you must be doing a fantastic job at work. Seems this has gone from part-time to full-time. Well done.

  18. I'm back! My day off is over! ;) thanks again for all your well wishes x

@June - I got hit in capoeira class. No combat boots. It was the heel of a bare foot and I didn't see it coming. Getting too old for this obviously! God knows where the bruise came from. I suspect vacuuming or gardening. I didn't feel the trauma at all, so can't say.

  19. Yikes! That looks painful! Tell your typist to get lots of rest and to stay away from flailing legs. You need her eyesight!

Hope you had a good day at work! Would you like to come here and do my job for me? ;-)

  20. Oh you poor thing!
You were lucky it was not worse, esp on your eye.
    Lots of love, Allegra

  21. I hope that you're OK.

Isn't learning to duck part of the training ? Or were you ducking training when it happened?

But really, surprise - surprise, who would have ever thought that in doing a contact-martial-art, that you might get kicked in the head.

  22. Good thing mom has an amazing backup typist there. You must have evolved those opposable digits in a hurry.

    ReplyDelete
  23. Wow, for all that, I hope the other guy's foot at least has a hangnail.

GLP, take good care of your typist. If she is blinded, she'll have a hard time packing such good lunches for you.

    ReplyDelete
  24. Ouch. Thus proving my points that nothing good ever comes of exercise AND the best place to spend spare time is on the couch or in the pub. Humph. Okay, maybe that's a smidge extreme. Hope it feels better and fades quickly. :(

  25. DAMN! Capoeira can be a pretty rough sport :0 Hope that Miss Typist feels better soon and next time DUCK!!!! :p

    ReplyDelete
  26. Blimey, a thick eye!
Sorry to hear that. I hope you'll recover without ill effects very soon.

Now Georgia, don't be so selfish. Go and cuddle your typist!

  27. Yowzie--that's some banged up Typist. It's a good think you have such advanced typing skills, GLP. Going to work with your Cushion has paid off! Maybe you can get a full time job there.

    ReplyDelete
  28. What?! Holy s—t! Typist is a roughneck! I'd hate to see the other typist!

Seriously, she deserves brekkie in bed, with a mimosa.

    -c at ddy.

p.s. Am I mistaken or is this the photo of the typist that's been posted on your blog, GLP. What a pick!

    ReplyDelete
  29. Oh my! That's a bad shiner... hope your Typist is all well now. You're such a good girl to keep us informed while the Typist is recovering on her day off.

GLP, you get to type on the iPhone!!! You really do have delicate paws ;)

    Licks, hero

  30. Oh my... I hope the typist feels better very soon!

  31. Oh goodness, those are some serious injuries! You had better take care of your Typist, Georgia. Since you've become quite effective on the keyboard, I'm sure you can learn to whip up a simple meal on the stove for your Typist. I bet she'll pay you generously for your effort!

    ReplyDelete
  32. Georgia - You write very well! I couldn't help but feel sorry for your mom. Yikes! That looks painful! I get bruises and have no idea how I got them either. But, I am a klutz, so I get them frequently enough not to even notice them anymore. :)

    Hope your lunch was good!

  33. Oh! I am so very sorry that your Mom got kiked in the head on her exercise class. I hope she's feeling better very soon.
    BIG (((HUGS)))

  34. That looks painful. Good to know you're better now.

(Pssst, GLP! Any thoughts as to whether your Typist did it a-purpose? Because it's gonna look cool and adventurous once it heals!)

    ReplyDelete
  35. Oh my gosh! I'm so sorry for your Typist. Take good care of her, Georgia, because you need her to take pictures so we can all see what you're up to - obviously you can handle the typing yourself. ;-)
