I scare My Typist.

I've been having really good luck scaring My Typist lately.

Look what happened last week.

She made me sit in the dark to take this picture, so you can see exactly what she saw.
She had such a big fright. It was very funny.
A few days later, she got another fright when she saw me sitting in the dark in the kitchen.

This picture is not a re-enactment. I sat very still while she took it, which made her even more nervous.
I'm not sorry I scared her. I was waiting in the kitchen because she was late getting my dinner, so serves her right I say.

Then this morning, I did it again. While she was giving me a blowdry, I kept looking over her shoulder at something behind her. But when she turned round, there was nothing there! Haha!

"Georgia!" she screamed, "Why do you keep doing that?"

It's true. I've been doing a lot of that lately.

My out-at-work human tells her there are woo-woos in the house. [That might be because he's trying to trick My Typist into moving somewhere nice and quiet where he won't have to work anymore.]

My Typist thinks I'm one creepy dog.

I think My Typist is a big chicken.

  3. Good for you, Georgia. These humans need putting in their place.

    Late with your dinner, indeed!

  4. Georgia, that really isn't very ladylike of you. Even if it is really funny. :-)

    Do dogs believe in ghosts?

  5. Georgia, you are an international woman of mystery. Just recently you posted about how you were sad to be missing your sun spots.

And now, you're hanging out in dark rooms, scaring your Typist. You certainly are an unpredictable young lady. I guess that's what keeps everyone in love with you--always leave 'em guessing.

  6. Georgia! This is one of those posts I feel conflicted about. First, I'm feeling bad for your Typist because it's not fun when you kids get that spooky vibe going. Second, I'm crying because I'm laughing so hard! I think you're going to have to increase your Typist's pay because she's doing a lot of illustrating lately. I think Typist/Illustrators get more money (or lovin', depending on how you pay).

  8. Oh, Georgia, you mean your typist doesn't know that we dogs can see ghosts? Why do you think Mom and Dad took Morgan and me on the ghost tour? I think it's hilarious that you scared her, but try to take it a little easier on her. Your out at work human isn't big on those secret afternoon naps, if I remember right!

  9. Well, Houndstooth is right....we do see things that the humans cant see and I give you LOL credit for using our skills to put a little "Fear of the Unknown" into your human.

I do it all the time. Now I do it even when I don't see ghosts cause it is so much fun to spook My Vickie.

    Oh if they only knew.

  10. Georgia, thank you for the funny story to start my day! Were you seeing Mr. Thumper's spirit when you were looking over your Typist's shoulder, and sitting in quiet, dark places? Us humans tend to ignore (or maybe don't sense) things like spirits - your doggy senses are so superior to ours!
Or maybe you were just havin' some fun with your Typist, you clever girl! Whatever the reason, it made for a great story.

  13. Hey GLP!
When did you get lasers for eyes :P You can scare the woo woo's away for your typist!

  14. Is a "woo-woo" a ghost or more like a BOOGIE MAN? Either way, it's not good. Georgia, you look like you might be able to shoot lasers from your eyes. Now that would be a good trick, no? We don't go into dark places - ever (unless we are going to bed and the humans are in the same room). But (shhh) the c-a-t-s are always hiding in the dark places here - that's why we don't go there. Maybe you have c-a-t woo woos.
P.S. If you have c-a-t woo woos, Ben will not help much with the exorcism. Just sayin'.

  15. My cat has now taught the dogs to look over my shoulder as if they all see into a dimension that i can't see into. And I feed them regularly and all. They haven't learned the glowing green eyes yet though.

  16. Your glowing green alien eyes may be what scares her the most! Have you been playing in a radioactive dog park lately???

  17. oh georgia, you are such a clever one!!

  19. Oh Georgia, you are a silly girl! You seem like a sweetheart, but I guess you can scare your typist sometimes. :)

  20. @EVERYONE - despite my often odd behaviour, i've not been demonically possessed [i think] and [unfortunately], my eyes are not green laser beams!

it's just the flash from the [mobile phone] camera. if the flash wasn't on, you'd just have seen a really dark shape in the room, which is probably a more accurate picture of what The Typist saw.

    coolies though eh? :) xox

  21. Hahaha... this is so funny, I can imagine the reaction on Typist face... LOL. But this is not very ladylike, Georgia, well... who cares when it's fun.

Btw, on a closer inspection, I thought I saw a figure behind the kitchen table, seriously.

  22. Hero! you scared the bejeebies out of The Typist! she had to blow up the picture to have a look. Cruel.

  23. Oh Georgia! I love you! I don't get over here often enough, although I would like to, but you make me laugh, and smile with your humor and wonderfully descriptive stories. I am so glad my dog is not the only one to do the woo-woo thing.

My last dog Aspen used to look at the hallway by the front door all of the time at the oddest moments. Much like your typist, I was pretty freaked out too. Tell me, do you guys do this to fool with us? It works!

    ReplyDelete
  24. Georgia! Of course The Typist won't be able to see it even if she blow up the picture 10 times... but YOU DID SEE IT, right? ;)

  25. Gosh, Georgia, you've got to stop doing that, girl! If you give your typist too many frights, there won't be anyone to get your dinner at all! I'm afraid you do look rather scary with those SciFi eyes...I'd be a big chicken, too...I'm glad George doesn't do that kind of thing.

  28. i believe dogs see woo-woos and i wish i did, too because i don't think woo-woos are bad. now those laser beam eyes are another story.
