I used to have so many. There was one right here.

Even Mr Thumper had a couple.
I don't know how I could have been so careless and lost all my sunny spots like that. But I'd be most grateful if you'd help me find them.

It's not that I don't believe you, but I really don't remember it being so uncomfortable.
I don't know about you, but I miss summer already.
We're with you there, Georgia. We think it should be late Spring all year round. I don't like Winter. I don't hate it, sometimes it's nice to get all rugged up and sit by the heater watching TV or reading. But it isn't nice going out on a wet, cold day to walk the dogs, lol.

Oh Georgia, I'm afraid your sunny spots have taken a vacation. I hear they are headed to Canada, though they haven't arrived yet. I'm sure they will return home in a few months.

ReplyDeleteWith four dogs and a cat there is often some competition for the sunny spots, but the days are getting longer here in California and the patio is now one long sun spot. It's been a long wet winter.

ReplyDeleteOuch, that is uncomfortable, sitting on such a narrow stair. Sunny spots are harder to find down there, where it's autumn. I'd send you some, since soon enough we'll all be panting like we've run the marathon, looking for any bit of shade.
ReplyDeleteI looked up how dogs react to eating cottonwool and, surprisingly, it's a remedy for helping pass sharp items the dog might have eaten. I don't think they're too nutritional on a day-to-day basis though, but it doesn't seem it would be a problem if pooch ate a few.
Oh me, oh my. 6 months? That's a very VERY long time for A Dog Of Little Hair like moi to be cold. I think I might have to move to Canada or Romania. Maybe Darwin, if that's a bit closer. Or at least a house with bigger sunny steps. Gah.

Georgia, I have seen marathon runners wrap themselves in metallic sun blankets to *bring* the sunny spots on top of their heads. Maybe your person could wrap you in aluminum foil like a baked potato? You could be Baked Georgia (sounds sweet to me).
ReplyDeleteMiss Georgia, that is what I dislike about Winter! The sunny spots keep moving, and not to convenient areas. It is most vexing! I have a feeling that as Spring approaches, they might start coming back.
ReplyDeleteI think you are DEFINTELY on to something with the barbecued llamas! That would be much better than having the little devils spit on you. The one animal that I'd really like the chance to hunt and take down is a horse, though. They think they're all superior and fast, but they have nothing on my speed and if I could just get free of that leash, I'd pass that horse who rides through our town and I'd take him down!

ReplyDeleteI will ask for a heat lamp, something to plug in my bed (maybe an electric blankie), a colourful jacket (maybe even 2), aluminum foil (I don't think they'll fork out for a professional metallic sun blankie), and belly rubs (I think they'll be quite generous with those because they're free). I'm sure these things will keep me going till spring comes round again.
Meantime, I look forward to receiving my chicken wings in the mail Ms C, and a bottle of that Georgia sunshine would be marvelous Ms ~K! It's great to have friends like you :) MWAH! xox

ReplyDeleteHahahaha! I love how animals will do anything just to lay in a sunbeam. Our cat will even touch the dog if he has to in order to find that sunny spot. It's the one thing they agree on.

Sorry you are losing yours so quickly - maybe if the humans were to stop blocking the sunlight by standing in front of windows, it would last longer. You did say your human had a sweet tooth!
