Excuse me, please.

Have you, by any chance, seen my sunny spots?

I used to have so many. There was one right here.

And how about the one here?
 And here!
Even Mr Thumper had a couple.
I don't know how I could have been so careless and lost all my sunny spots like that. But I'd be most grateful if you'd help me find them.
This is one of them, you say?
Are you sure?

It's not that I don't believe you, but I really don't remember it being so uncomfortable.

I don't know about you, but I miss summer already.

  1. We're with you there, Georgia. We think it should be late Spring all year round. I don't like Winter. I don't hate it, sometimes it's nice to get all rugged up and sit by the heater watching TV or reading. But it isn't nice going out on a wet, cold day to walk the dogs, lol.

I think you're going to have to get used to your sunny spots disappearing or shifting, just like us *sigh*

  2. Oh Georgia, I'm afraid your sunny spots have taken a vacation. I hear they are headed to Canada, though they haven't arrived yet. I'm sure they will return home in a few months.

Perhaps your typist could get a heat lamp for you?

  4. Oh my, Ms Georgia, your last photo. I hear ya, sister.

  5. With four dogs and a cat there is often some competition for the sunny spots, but the days are getting longer here in California and the patio is now one long sun spot. It's been a long wet winter.

  6. I find it hysterical that Georgia was trying to lay down on the stairs in the sun :D Sorry baby, gotta' wait another 6 months to get your good spots back.

  7. Great pictures of Georgia trying to solve the puzzle of laying down in a sunny spot on the stairs. Love it when dogs try to problem-solve :)

  8. Ouch, that is uncomfortable, sitting on such a narrow stair. Sunny spots are harder to find down there, where it's autumn. I'd send you some, since soon enough we'll all be panting like we've run the marathon, looking for any bit of shade.

I looked up how dogs react to eating cottonwool and, surprisingly, it's a remedy for helping pass sharp items the dog might have eaten. I don't think they're too nutritional on a day-to-day basis though, but it doesn't seem it would be a problem if pooch ate a few.

  9. Oh me, oh my. 6 months? That's a very VERY long time for A Dog Of Little Hair like moi to be cold. I think I might have to move to Canada or Romania. Maybe Darwin, if that's a bit closer. Or at least a house with bigger sunny steps. Gah.

Oh Lavi, My Typist says "Wow! That's interesting about the cottonwool. Wonder how it works? Maybe by entangling the sharp object in the fibres?"

  11. Poor Georgia.
I sympathize. I'm seeking out sunny spots too. Fortunately, here they're becoming more numerous now instead of scarcer.

  12. Hey Georgia, time for your colourful jacket wouldn't you say. How funny are you manoeuvering and squeezing on the stairs, never realized you were sooooo flexible. Soo good to see rufus getting up to no good with you!!!!

  13. Oh goodness Georgia! What a difficult place to sun yourself! Here's hoping you find a better place to lay down and enjoy the sun!

Hope you have a great week!

  14. I'm so sorry, Georgia. It's tough chasing the sunny spots, isn't it?

I think your sunny spots are beginning to show up on my street. And I adore you but I just can't bring myself to send them back to you. Sorry.

Maybe you'll have to carry sunshine in your heart for a few months while you wait for the real stuff to make it back your way.

  15. Georgia, I have seen marathon runners wrap themselves in metallic sun blankets to *bring* the sunny spots on top of their heads. Maybe your person could wrap you in aluminum foil like a baked potato? You could be Baked Georgia (sounds sweet to me).

  16. Miss Georgia, that is what I dislike about Winter! The sunny spots keep moving, and not to convenient areas. It is most vexing! I have a feeling that as Spring approaches, they might start coming back.

I think you are DEFINTELY on to something with the barbecued llamas! That would be much better than having the little devils spit on you. The one animal that I'd really like the chance to hunt and take down is a horse, though. They think they're all superior and fast, but they have nothing on my speed and if I could just get free of that leash, I'd pass that horse who rides through our town and I'd take him down!

    P.S. Morgan says she agrees!

  17. Oh, GLP, you looked so sad in the last shot! Can you we get an order of chicken wings for this girl, pronto?!

We've just been through 41 days without sunshine in Portland. It's been like living underneath the stairs.

Love the new adventure pics of you and RBT on the sidebar!

  18. Beautiful photos!
I do wish I could send you some of our unseasonably warm Gerogia sunshine.
    Hugs and belly rubs,

  19. THANK YOU EVERYONE for your great ideas! I will pass them on to my out-at-work human since he has more pocket money than My Typist and can buy them for me.

I will ask for a heat lamp, something to plug in my bed (maybe an electric blankie), a colourful jacket (maybe even 2), aluminum foil (I don't think they'll fork out for a professional metallic sun blankie), and belly rubs (I think they'll be quite generous with those because they're free). I'm sure these things will keep me going till spring comes round again.

Meantime, I look forward to receiving my chicken wings in the mail Ms C, and a bottle of that Georgia sunshine would be marvelous Ms ~K! It's great to have friends like you :) MWAH! xox

  20. You're a great sunbeam detective!

  21. Hahahaha! I love how animals will do anything just to lay in a sunbeam. Our cat will even touch the dog if he has to in order to find that sunny spot. It's the one thing they agree on.

    Georgia is hilarious. :-)

  24. You did not lose them. Those sunny spots are mischievious and play tricks and hide and seek. You are doing a great job of seeking.

  25. What an international, multi-cultural audience you command now...so I' ll add to that pot from the UK. Sunny spots we are just coming into them, nice. Sorry you are losing yours so quickly - maybe if the humans were to stop blocking the sunlight by standing in front of windows, it would last longer. You did say your human had a sweet tooth! Nice pics.
