Small stone, Saturday 5th January.

2 loads of laundry done. 1 folded on the bed. 1 hanging on the line. 1 more doggy load to go. Salty sandy shoes washed and sitting in the sun. Dog bathed and fast asleep, smelling of oatmeal baking soda shampoo. Half empty tiny toiletry bottles and jars packed into a cupboard. 2 weeks of leaf litter and fallen branches cleared from the yard. Shrivelled plants watered. Fresh milk, eggs and juice once again sitting in the fridge. Christmas tree about to be dismantled. After which, some vacuuming to do and a car to clean. The only time I have to write this, is on the potty.

Thanks Barb! for introducing me to this 30 day mindful writing challenge. I'm late of course. It started on the 1st of January. And I might not be able to do this every single day. And this might not technically be a small stone, maybe more like medium one, thanks to my predilection to verbosity. Anyway. A post that can be written in 10 on the potty is very fun. Join me?

  1. I've never done a post on the potty but we're game for about anything.

    Well, not any thing.

    1. Hahaha! No, you don't have to do it on the potty, JAN :D

  2. What a great stone - hope you post it on the Mindful writing blog and/or on the Facebook page. It's a fun and supportive community. Like your details - and the throne you use for writing!

  4. Do we have to join you on the potty? Or join you writing small stones?! What is the 30-day mindful process. I think MOM needs it. You're the second person to mention small stones, so she knows about those. :)

    Wag, wag, wag. Welcome home!

    Love,
    Tootsie

  5. TOOTSIE! Not on the potty! It's only big enough for The Typist's bum.

Click on the links to find out more. I think your mama would love it :)

  6. When I saw the title, I thought you had solved the puzzle of Georgia's sudden refusal to walk - a small stone in the pad! LOL

I was never any good at committing to writing something every day - I write when inspired to do so. But I'm delighted you are doing this, as I always feel a sense of disappointment when there's no new post on your blog!

    1. That must be one of the nicest things anyone has ever said to me! And now, you get 2 a day! Keep up okay? :D

I'm not sure about the one post a day bit. I intend to write only when something pops up. Maybe a photo. I understand that's okay too. Sad you're not doing it though. You write lovely stories and capture great "moments" with your cam!

  7. I think I'm too wordy to get in on the small stones challenge, but it looks beautiful! I probably could write a post from the potty, but I try to keep the blog out of the bathroom! :P
