Last Saturday night.

It was Earth Hour last Saturday night.
We were bad and left one light on.

There was also a tea candle burning some essential oils.

Thank goodness because Mr Thumper was farting a lot.
OK, OK. It was me.

Here is a very rare picture of my stay-at-home human, walking up the stairs on her hands.

I'm pretty glad there wasn't anything good on TV that night.

Happy birthday to me!

It's my birthday!

Well, sort of, anyway.

It's been 365 days since I was adopted.
So it's the day my humans have decided to make *Georgia's Special Day*.

As though every other day I'm in their life isn't special. Huh.

I get lamb bones for breakfast!

Lightly pan-fried PLEASE!

Over-cooked lamb is so unattractive.

Mr Thumper thinks he's going to get some too. He hasn't even wished me happy birthday yet. Cheeky.

Let me tell you, it takes a long, long, long, long long time to lightly cook lamb.

At least 2 minutes.
Queue jumper!

H*A*P*P*Y  B*I*R*T*H*D*A*Y TO ME!

Oh poo, no leftovers.

Tiggy's toes and other tasty treats.

It's Ladies Afternoon Tea Day.
I'm a Lady. So obviously, I'm invited.

We make a List of Things We Like To Eat Very Much and set off to pick up the goodies.

On the way, I find a trail of neatly cut breadcrumbs sprinkled along the footpath. My stay-at-home human won't let me investigate any further so like the Nazca Lines, it will always remain A Mystery.

We arrive at our favourite pattiserie.
I am not allowed in, so I wait patiently by the door. There's always a bit of a queue, ever since Masterchef made the little shop famous.
Mission accomplished! I make sure everything's there. The pie and sausage rolls smell particularly good. I don't think anyone noticed that I gave them a sniff and lick.
Back home, I practise being an angel by not jumping on the counter and running off with the berry brioche.

It was very difficult.

The Ladies arrive!!!

One of them is really small.

                                                     Another is even smaller.
This is proof that Ladies come in all shapes and sizes.
When you meet someone for the first time, it's always polite to sniff their bum. This one says, "Hello, my name is Freya. What's yours?"

Mr Thumper already knows what HE wants for tea.
Why is Mr Thumper even here? As far as I know, he is not a Lady.

Freya dances to calm him down.

The other Ladies are too busy eating to notice that Rufus is not vegetarian.

After 2 hours of waiting for a crumb that doesn't come, I am feeling a little mournful and very peckish.

Tiggy's toes begin to look extra tasty.

But just when it seems all hope is gone...

Could that really be...for.....ME?!

I LOVE afternoon tea!!!

Afternoon Tea would not have been possible without the participation of The Lovely Ladies - Michelle, Imogen, Rachel, Freya and Tiggy.

An Ode to My Green Nail Polish

Oh me, oh my.
Is it true?
Saint Patrick's Day's gone by?

When they found me in the pound
They were told I'm part Irish Wolfhound
So my stay-at-home human
Had a mental moment
Found a nail polish in the bargain bin
A delicious pistachio shade of green

All of 3 dollars it cost her
Maybe some chicken necks would have been better.

"Oh Georgia," she said, "Just wait till Saint Patty's comes around. I'll paint your nails green! They'll glimmer and gleam! You'll be SO BE..OOO..TIFUL!"

Why, the thought just made me beam.

So today, I'm feeling a little tragic
That my nails are still kinda black,
kinda white, kinda grey
And my beautiful green nail polish
Is sitting in the cupboard
Waiting for another Saint Patrick's Day.

Oh me, oh my.
I think I might cry.

Or maybe, I should just run away.
I think I may, I think I might.

                                                Right after dinner.
I think it's lamb chop night.

Is it time for a walk yet? *centennial*

Centennial Park, NSW

Sunday, 21 March 2010
A nice muddy hole and lots of crazy dogs to play with.

                 Met my first shar-pei. Interesting.
Everyone else thought so too.

Mush-mush. Mr Thumper pretends he's part of a sled team. Silly boy.

The best part of any Centennial walk - hotdog with cheese, chili and mustard [hold the onions please], icy lemon granita and soft serve icecream in a crispy waffle cone. I might get sick later, but it's ALWAYS worth it!

I think I've had enough now. Please carry me in when we get home. Thank you.
